Oscar Leathers Pvt. Ltd. is a 14 year old company located 250 KM north of New Delhi near the most modern Indian city, Chandigarh. The company is engaged in the manufacture and export of leather shoes and uppers to leading brands in Europe and Australia. The company and its ancillaries employ skilled workforce of about 500 people and has a capacity of making 4000 pairs of uppers and 3000 pairs of shoes per day. Our export turnover for the year 2008-09 was about USD 4.20 Million, a growth of about 40% over last year’s results.

We have also cleared social audits conducted by international agencies. We are in the process of implementing a customized ERP system to further improve our working.

The company has been promoted by Mr. Jasvinder Pal Singh Rana and Mr. Sanjiv Gupta, who are Engineers by education and have a professional approach towards meeting the quality and timely delivery requirements of the most demanding customers.

Mr. Sanjiv Gupta has worked in the automobile industry before entering the footwear industry in 1985. He has undergone management training in Japan and having worked closely with the Japanese for many years is well versed in progressive management and production techniques.

Mr. Jasvinder Pal Singh Rana has 21 years of experience in the footwear business. He is also a promoter-director of Drish Shoes Ltd, a leading exporter of shoes and leather, and has worked with companies like Gabor, Kennel and Schmenger ,Schuh Union, Salamander, Sioux, Elephanten, Jella, Richter, Start Rite, etc. He has been working full time in Oscar Leathers since October, 2003.

The company has gained expertise in making Ladies’ Ballerinas , Ladies’ and Gent's flat Slippers and Sandals, Wooden Clogs, House Shoes, Stitch and Turn Shoes and Dance Shoes. Our clients include Zara, Farrutx, Mango, Cortefeil in Spain; Next, L.K.Bennet, Karen Millen, Faith, T.T Baggart in the UK; Andre in France; Country Road, Seed, Mollini, Joanne Mercer in Australia; Woolworths and Foschini in South Africa and Shepherd in Sweden.

We also export leather uppers for booties and shoes, sandal uppers in leather and textile for sandals embellished with hand embroidery, metal work, rivets, crystals, etc.

We have planned a major expansion of capacity in 2009-10 and have started construction of a new factory at Lalru, 25 kms from Chandigarh on the Chandigarh-Delhi highway. The integrated factory would come up in an area of 20,000 sq meters and would have four lasting lines with supporting upper, sole and insole making facilities.
